Most of the clothes I’ve seen in Iranian shops are not easy
on the eyes. They’re usually tacky and have terrible quality:
I don’t know who in their right mind would willingly wear
that top and skirt (even separately). The flowers on that top are the stuff of
nightmares, and the coloring reminds me of Cruella de Vil. And look at those
scrunched up sleeves! Yuck. There are three different things going on with the
skirt that have zero relevance to each other. The faux leather. The twirled
ribbon. The checkered top part.
Every now and then, however, something relatively decent,
sometimes even nice, will come along, like these two children’s dresses:
But finding nice things here is a pain. It’s a
hunt with no guaranteed good outcome.
I will not miss the hideous clothes and difficult clothes
shopping scene in Iran.
