At the Tajrish Bazaar in Tehran, I saw super cute, unique
hairclips:
Although I’m pretty positive these are Chinese imports and
not Iranian, they’re still adorable. I haven’t seen hairclips like these in the
states. I think a major factor is that smaller stores are disappearing in
America, and are being (rather, they have been) replaced by huge chain stores.
Chain stores carry more commercialized items that the average person would want
to buy. In contrast, small stores carry more specialized items and can usually
afford to target a specific customer base.
I will miss these types of hairclips.
