Iran’s sweets and bakeries are a-m-a-z-i-n-g. They come in a
variety of shapes and sizes, are usually cutely arranged, and taste like
happiness:
In Iran, it is custom for guests to bring a box of sweets
with them when they visit. The host serves the sweets, along with his own fruit
and tea, to everyone present.
There are two main types of sweets you can get – the “cream”
kind, and the “non-cream” kind. The photo above is of the “cream” variety,
meaning there’s icing on top.
I will miss the wonderful taste and appearance of Persian sweets.
