Won’t Miss #16: Summertime Heat

Iran has a perfect four seasons (yes, there’s snow during the winter!), and it can get quite hot here in the summer. In Tehran, the pollution makes you feel the heat much more, because some of the atmosphere is blocked.

In the States, I usually carry a small jacket with me because indoor areas are air conditioned so well that I’ll freeze if I don’t.

Here, however, indoor areas (like malls) don’t have the same level of super air conditioning that’s in the States. Plus, here, people will drive to, say, the Grand Bazaar of Tehran, park the car, and walk around the area, seeing the different shops. In places like the Grand Bazaar, you’re basically outdoors… meaning LOTS of heat.

With that being said, I will not miss the summertime heat here.
