Will Miss #10: Beautiful Sights on the Road to Shomal (Northern Iran)

“Shomal” means “north” in Persian, and Iranians use the term to refer to the northern region of Iran. Typically, when Iranians say “Shomal,” they mean the Caspian Sea.

Yesterday (Iran time), I got back from my trip to Shomal. Because there wasn’t much traffic, it took about 2 hours and 30 minutes to get there. Due to heavier traffic, however, it took a little over 4 hours to return back to Tehran.

The road to Shomal had some amazing views:

I will miss the incredible views on the road to Shomal.
